The Rapids Parents Pub Night was
a great success! Over 50 parents had a
blast at Legends Pub. Congratulations to
Carrie Murray who won her PPP for the entire
year! A special thanks goes out to Jim & Michelle
Jones, Glenn Chow, Mike Crawford and Khaled Ali for donating the
door prizes. The club was able to raise over
$300.00!
This money will go towards the
Richmond Rapids Scholarship Fund that is awarded every year at our
awards banquet. The Rapids Scholarship provides our athletes
that graduate high school while being a member of our
competitve programs for a minimum of 4 years. The money
they receive is to be used towards their post secondary
education. Last year recipients included current Rapids Swim
School coaches Astryd Lee, Michelle Au Yeung and Stephanie
Gosel.
We hope to see even more parents
at the next pub night in the new year!
